Green Dragon Sword Set
For thousands of years, the swords of Japanese warriors have been prized possessions handed down from generation to generation. More than a formidable. weapon, the Samurai sword has been the symbol of great value, celebration and power, and has a history as a charm that protects its owner from harm. (To a Japanese owner, it carries much the same prestige as owning a Ferrari does to an American.) The three 440 stainless steel Green Dragon swords are 43, 31 and 23 1/4" in length, and are displayed on their own black wood stand. The decorations are 24k gold plate over a zinc alloy base. An intricately carved and painted dragon-fighting serpent in ivory-like resin coils around the handle; the hilt is a detailed gold snake; the scabbard is in a rich, dark green embellished with gold snakes and knotted plaid ribbon; the elegant handguards and end caps are are also 24k plated gold.
